Today's poem

"she said she'd always be a dancer"

"sunday's on the phone to monday. tuesday's on the phone to me...."

i sat in on searle's philosophy of the mind class on thursday. he reminded me of dundes, except he was more complicated. he mumbled just as much. went on as many tangents as dundes did. i'm sure someone who knows both these two crazy men would argue that i can't even compare the two. for god's sake, they'd say, searle is studied all over the place, and dundes...what does he have but a mere fellowship? but i'm talking about mannerisms, on more basic, simpler,...shallower terms, if you will.

one outstanding characteristic is that they are both fully aware of their own smugness, their own elitist views. i think that's the most intersting thing about them.

then again, it shouldn't be so interesting or surprising. after all beethoven knew he was beethoven.
again not to compare either of them to beethoven. for he was a mad man of madness.

"bang bang maxwell's silver hammer
came down upon her head."

i saw supersize me tonight at wheeler. jesus. they couldn't recognize jesus! the rediculous doctor with the baggy eyes was the best. good movie overall. although sick.

tomorrow feels like a schoolday from here. it's quite the late hour, and i should be hitting the pillow soon.

p.s. next year, chocolate festival: it's a date.
